  19. bar while long was having a secret affair with the next door neighbor,
  20. int variable (no relation).

  22. Well, one night, after a tough day at the CPU, short came home only to
  23. find long in bed with int.  Long looked up defiantly at short as if
  24. to say, "So??  What are you going to do, you impotent wimp!".  Short
  25. had a break-down.  Int quickly put on his pants and headed for the door.
  26. He wanted no part of this.

  28. Short was over-wrought with grief and overcome with anger at his wife, long.
  29. He was going to end it all, but he would make the cheating long pay for
  30. what she did to him.  So, after a night of heavy drinking, short got
  31. a gun and headed back to his house.
  32.  
  33. In the meantime, int had gone over to long's house to break off the affair.
  34.  
  35. "We can't go on like this," he said.  "Your husband is likely to do some
  36. thing horrible to us!"  He said ironically.
  37.  
  38. Just then, short burst in.  He had really only meant to scare long, but
  39. seeing int there threw him into a rage!  Pointing the gun in their 
  40. general direction, he told them to get into the bit bucket!
  41.  
  42. "You're drunk!" cried long.  "You don't know what you are doing!"
  43.  
  44. "Get in there!!!" shouted short.
  45.  
  46. A damp spot formed on the front of int's trousers, short noticed with no
  47. little amount of satisfaction.  
  48.  
  49. Long and int went to their deaths in /dev/null.  Short became a hopeless
  50. alcoholic with a liver that does him more harm than good.
  51.  
  52. And that is the relationship between short, int, and long.  It's not
  53. pretty, but it's not a pretty business.
